Moira and Allan welcome you to Glendale Guest House here in the quaint market town of Penrith, our guest house is a lovely Victorian town house that was built around the 1860′s, we have 7 letting bedrooms split on two floors

Pre-Arrival

Penrith has its own main line train station, it will take you about ten minutes walk to reach Glendale Guest House (most of the way is down hill)
Penrith’s main Bus Terminus is approx 5 minutes, mostly level walking from Glendale Guest House

Car Parking Facilities

We ask all guests to arrive after 4pm if for any reason you need to arrive earlier please contact us
Penrith runs a disc parking scheme, we do have the discs which allow two hours of parking
Parking restrictions are between 8am till 6pm
Less than 5 minutes walk and you are into Penrith’s town centre to have a browse around the shops or find some lovely places to have something to eat and drink.

Main Entrance & Reception

Glendale’s entrance looks on to Portland place where there are:

Five steps to climb to enter into the reception hallway
There are two bells to ring one on the right hand side half way down the wall and the other on the inner door in the middle
On entering into the hallway you have the dining room on your left where breakfast is served between 8am and 9am
The unit opposite the dining room is were you sign the registration form

Public Areas – General (Internal)

To get to the first 3 bedrooms on the first landing there are 16 stairs which are wide enough for two people to walk side by side
Once you are at the top you turn a little corner to go up 1 more stair to the main landing with our first 3 bedrooms
Continuing up to the second landing there are 15 stairs with one of our single rooms off to the right which there is a little stair going down into the room
Just up 3 more stairs then you are on the second main landing where you will find our other three bedrooms
