Penrith is only seven miles from the nearest lake, Ullswater the most beautiful of the lakes. Penrith has major travel conections for the north with the railway station been on the west coast main line also motorway and major road networks crossing the country passing very nearby.

The Town itself has much to offer with a mix of both historical and modern attractions, from the castle and beacon pike to modern shops.
